I use these to protect my power tool cords and they work great in the shop. I would not use them in an under-the-hood automobile application though.We have a cat who has destroyed a $150 Thunderbolt cable and countless Cat 7 cables. I finally put everything in loom. She still plays with the cables, but can't get to them. I know some are thinking "Why didn't you just keep the cat away from your cables?" This is more easily said than done - she is my wife's pride and joy. I like the cat, but don't like her in my cables. I am on the phone with patients from home all day throughout this COVID nightmare. When I'm engaged with a patient, I can't just leave the phone and move the cat away. Now I don't have to. The wires are all protected. It took a little while, but it was worth it. I used a wrench to kind of bend it open then zip tied every foot or so for support
