Quick back story: I'm not the Amazon product-review type (guilt-ridden about it, too), but am an avid Amazon customer, and this product *pulled* me from the non-reviewer tar pit.With that said, I'm primarily writing this review to 5-star (*****) this Gardena kit and secondarily as a guide for anyone else that needs help with this stupid project. I figured I'd help the next Harry-homemaker out there - perhaps save you from the self-loathing stupidity and teeth-gritting frustration that my project seemed to have been fraught with.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PROJECTS: Several separate projects needed to come together for my life to proceed:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PROJECT 1: Connect my awesome new portable dishwasher to my Moen kitchen faucet.--> See NOTE 1 below for part names & quantitiesPROJECT 2: Connect my awesome new hose to my Moen kitchen faucet.--> See NOTE 2 below for part names & quantitiesPROJECT 3: Have both the dishwasher AND hose connected to the faucet AT THE SAME TIME--> See NOTE 3 below for part names & quantitiesPROJECT 4: Allow for quick removal & stowage of aforementioned dishwasher and hose; allow for normal faucet & sink functions --> See NOTE 4 & 5 below for part names & quantities--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PRODUCTS & QUANTITIES REQUIRED:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOTE 1: [Qty. 1] SPT Model SD-9239SS 18-Inch Portable Dishwasher, Stainless Steel--> This dishwasher is the best thing I've owned for a number of reasons. Don't skimp on the the counter-top models. This guy has casters, is solidly built and shipped in some fricken awesome packaging. He has a stowable 5'-ish 110v power cord and a 4'-ish water-coupling hose set coming out of his back. He shipped fully assembled, instructions on how to run and maintain it, but no instructions on how to connect it to the sink. It did ship with a nice chrome 'quick-connect' faucet adapter with a FEMALE 55/64"-27 connection on one end, and a 'standard' quick-connect on the other. DISCARD THIS INCLUDED QUICK CONNECT for this project. Use 1 of the 2 Gardena 36002 Garden Hose Quick Connectors INSTEAD. Less parts = less leaks.NOTE 2: [Qty. 1] Water Right PSH-075-MG-4PKRS 75-Foot x 1/2-Inch Polyurethane Lead Safe Ultra Light Slim Garden Hose - Olive Green--> For hosing my deck and watering plants while I wash my dishes. It's a 2 hour 15 minute wash and I got other things to do!NOTE 3: [Qty. 1] Camco 20123 RV Brass Water Wye Valve--> Making my kitchen sink faucet into TWO faucets!NOTE 4: [Qty. 1] Gardena 9042-BK Garden Hose Quick Connect Starter Set--> FEMALE Garden Hose to MALE quick-connect adapter connects to kitchen sink faucetNOTE: It's the DARK GREY quick-connect adapter piece - if you're looking at their kit in the picture gallery, it's on the top right corner of the layout.--> FEMALE Garden Hose to FEMALE quick-connect adapter connects to 'water out' side of hose (the part in your hand when you water)--> MALE Garden Hose to MALE quick-connect adapters connect into the couple of spray-nozzles I have (like the Bullseye!)--> MALE Garden Hose to FEMALE quick-connect adapter connects to the 'water in' side of the hose (connects to my kitchen sink faucet!)NOTE 5: [Qty. 1] Gardena 36002 Garden Hose Quick Connector - 2 Pack--> FEMALE Garden Hose to MALE quick-connect adapter connects to kitchen sink faucet (1 left in the kit for later)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OTHER POSSIBLY-REQUIRED-BY-YOU PRODUCTS:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) [Qty. 1] LDR 500 2050 Aerator Adapter, Faucet to Hose to Aerator--> adapted my MALE 55/64"-27 connection kitchen sink faucet to provide a MALE GARDEN HOSE connection--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OTHER OPTIONAL PRODUCTS:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) [Qty. 1] Dramm 12353 Heavy-Duty Brass Shut-Off Valve--> attached to the spraying end of my hose for, well, ON/OFF capabilities from that end of the hose (and not in the kitchen)2) [Qty. 1] Bullseye Power Nozzle--> attached to the spraying end of my hose for, well, high-pressure spraying with low-pressure water feed from the kitchen faucet--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PROJECT OVERVIEW WITH DETAILS:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------STEP 1: Remove aerator tip from kitchen sink faucet.STEP 2: Connect faucet-to-garden hose adapter to kitchen sink faucet.--> My MOEN kitchen sink has a male 55/66"-27 MALE connector, after removing the little aerator tip. To this, I connected the LDR 500 2050 55/64"-26 FEMALE end of the adapter, leaving the 3/4" MALE Garden Hose connector available.STEP 3: Connect Garden Hose Y-adapter to kitchen sink faucet--> The brass Camco 20123 with shut-off levers has a nice soft grip to ensure the fitting is snug. This leaves two (2) Garden Hose 3/4" MALE connectors exposed. Test for leaks by shutting the shut-off valves and turning the water on.STEP 4: Connect the FEMALE Garden Hose to MALE quick-connect adapters to each one of the available Garden Hose connectors.--> The Gardena 9042 kit has 1 of the adapters and the Gardena 36002 kit has the other one.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------REVIEW SUMMARY:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I realize that this is a lot of information, and it's contained in the unlikely space under the Gardena 9042-BK Garden Hose Quick Connect Starter Set. I decided to put it here, mainly because this kit contained several key components that I could not locate anywhere else, and when I did find some similar parts, the Gardena kit price became the determining factor. It all came together when I found this kit. And I love the Gardena quick-connect (with the metal parts), there's no leaking anywhere, and my project is finished!!!
