When I purchased my home this exact Stanley Garden BDS6620 65-ft Automatic Hose Reel unit was attached to the wall in my back yard!I recently had contractors use the existing unit and broke it unintentionally.I found this same unit online through Amazon and replaced it with a new exact hose reel unit.I do love the ease of using this type garden hose unit.It also does not look like an eye sore on my back porch.You can swing it from left to right depending on where you will be using the hose.I recommend this unit to anyone who is tired of using a water hose with a manual hose reel.Our 1st lasted 15 years then pool chlorine finally rusted the retraction pieces. Our opinion, best you can buy.This makes watering flowers so much easier. I love this hose.Well engineered. Good value. I replace mine after 5-10 years. The small hose is frustrating for volume of water. If your going to hand water a large area , your not going be happy, it just doesn't make much water for the resistance of the small line and the long length. If you wash your care in the sun, those suds are going to back before you get enough water on the car to rinse it properly. Its a very attractive hose reel, easy to install and will look bad in a few years of sun. Easy to replace once you have one.I wanted to love this item...I had been wanting one for a long time, but didn't trust that it would be as good as it appears. I had been looking at items similar to this one for a few months and decided to finally buy one. I was quite excited when it got delivered. It was purchased off of Amazon marketplace, but had not been used. I was nervous about attaching it to my house so I installed it to a wood post that I cemented in the ground. The directions for using the bolts that came with it were not detailed enough for me. It did not contain the drill bit size so I had to do my best to guess. I try to be a do-it-yourself kind of person, but I need directions. Regardless...I eventually got it installed and was super excited! The day of winding up my hose by hand seemed to be behind me!!! On my first retraction of the hose there was a big smile on my face....then I tugged and let it retract back. It went zipping back to the reel and hit the plastic casing and immediately cracked it!!! I was stunned! It is still usable, but I couldn't believe it broke that easily. Knowing what I know now, I probably should not have let it retract without me holding on to it, but I didn't know. I will certainly do that in the future. The system is still usable, but I believe the plastic should be a bit more durable. If you have children, I guarantee you they will let it retract independent of themselves and it will likely hit the plastic covering and crack. BE CAREFUL! Other than the skimpy directions and very thin rell plastic covering, it works well. I have warned my children about proper use so this does not happen again. To be honest....it was such a deflating experience after feeling so excited about the product. Because I live with children who actively play outside with their friends and use the hose to play with water, I would not recommend this to others in similar circumstances. It is not durable enough for regular use in a household.Love to be organized, with clean and efficient units, this one is perfect. Easy clip allows me to carry the unit/hose into the garage for winter storage.Its is exactly what we wanted for our back garden.Excellent, versatile and just what I wanted.Perfect for us.
