It was like Death Valley this summer here in north Texas. It’s been a long time since we had a summer this hot with no rain. This hose saved our grass where our sprinklers were only lightly hitting the grass. Other summers, the light dusty of water didn’t make that much of a difference. I turned it on a few nights each week for about 3 weeks after some of the grass had died. I moved the hose on other nights to get another area. It was not a lot of dead grass, mind you, so don’t get confused about the miracle powers of this. We had a narrow strip of dead grass and then some small patches. The grass came back. I am sooooooo glad that I got this little dropper hose. And remember- it’s not like a slow drip- this baby DRIPS !!! The first time I used it I left it on for hours. The neighbor stopped over to let us know we had a bit of a water issue. Ok—- so I left this on 45 minutes some nights. Keeping plants and lawn alive was very much an every day or at least every other day oversight/working responsibility in this heat. My grass loves me. I do highly recommend this hose. Not very flexible. You really have to stretch it leaving no sharp turn/corner. You end up clogging the water flow simply because the line is not 100% straight.I have no complaints with the product. It works as expected. Nothing remarkable. However, one of the two hoses I ordered was missing the stop-cap. The seller would neither ship one nor partially refund the purchase for me to buy one from a third party. The only option was to return the item for a full refund. This option is a waste of financial and environmental resources. Just refund a couple dollars and prevent waste.UPDATE. I ordered a third hose, and it had two leaks. This time, the seller did make it right. Overall, decent experience.I've used it and it works very well. Pleased with its performance thus far and VERY VERY glad I found it at Harbor Freight. I originally bought this soaker hose off Amazon from a 3rd party seller called Vend or CJM Ventures. I returned it to them (unused) because I happened upon this identical soaker hose at our local Harbor Freight store for LESS than half what they charged. I bought two of these hoses for .90 less than what I paid for ONE from Vend or CJM. I used the hose I bought at Harbor Freight but like I said, it's the same hose.I luv this soaker hose in my garden! It came at a good time before the drought hit our area. It's design is so much better than the old vinyl flat hose with tiny holes that would crack and become useless. Very satisfied and I'd buy another in an instant. ..it saved my squash plants!!We are very pleased with the hose. We have now bought 3 of them. I never turn it on to fast when letting the water into the hose. Just to be on the safe side from the reviews I have read.We live in Southern Arizona where summers get to be around 112 degrees. Unfortunately the person that I hired to install my irrigation system and sod lawn did not know what they were doing. He never got my irrigation system to work and I was left with my sod turning brown within 24 hours of being planted. After a few weeks of trying to bring my lawn back by hand watering it with a regular hose 4-6 times a day for 20 min at a time my lawn had major brown spots and looked like it was going to die for sure. I found another landscaper to redo the irrigation system but it was going to cost 1600 dollars. After my mom told me about these I decided to try 2 and see how they did before shelling out another 1600 dolalrs to fix my irrigation system. I'm so glad I did!! I left them on for a few hours before going to bed and I came out the next morning to bright green beautiful grass in the areas the water reached. I was so excited that I decided to order another one for the areas that the two couldn't reach. I will say I have pools of water in some spots and no water in others but I think that's because the person I hired didn't level the yard correctly. So I have to go around and move them around the yard after 30 minutes or so. These super soakers along with some fertilizer saved my sod and saved me 1600 dollars on a new landscaper. I wish I had known about these before I had the first guy install our irrigation to begin with. What a waste of money that was! I will say I've only had them for a week and it's currently only 90 degrers outside so I don't know if these will be enough when the summer heat gets in full swing. I would imagine I may have to leave them on for a little longer. I will say these get twisted easily and if they are upside down from the little holes it takes longer for the water to get to the ground. I spent several hours trying to adjust them so they didn't get twisted across our lawn to no avail. There is no way to not have at least part of the hose upside down.Love the slow release of water soaking my raised bed vegetable garden. No wasted water.
